Our next Masterclass will be on Saturday 3rd August and will explore “How To… Perfect your Puppetry” with puppeteer and puppet-maker, Madeleine Carter. Purchase your tickets here.

What will the Masterclass include?

This exciting workshop will be split into two sections: puppetry skills and puppet-making. We’ll begin with a puppetry-focused warm-up before moving into an Introduction to Puppetry Performance. This will explore the fundamentals of puppeteering technique and teach the tools you’ll need to bring life and energy into a puppet onstage. We’ll then move on to a beginner friendly puppet-making session which will cover the essential techniques for designing and constructing Simple Rod / Table-Top Puppets.  Finally, we will apply the performance techniques to the new-born rod puppets! The session will end with a brief Q&A, so do come armed with any puppetry related questions!

We’ll also have a break for refreshments; please let us know if you have any dietary requirements or allergies.
