Join Alice as she ventures through the Lockdown Looking Glass and explores a curious world filled with Cheshire Cats, White Rabbits and Red Queens, all while keeping a safe distance of 2 meters and using PPE to do her shopping. Whether battling Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-dee for the last loo roll or attending the Mad Hatter’s tea party via Zoom, Alice’s socially-distanced adventures are the perfect antidote to the stay-at-home blues.
So away with the quarantinis! Pack the picnic, pop the Prosecco, and join Heartbreak Productions for this open-air performance of Alice In Lockdown.
Running Time: 2 hrs (including interval)
While we are thrilled to be back, we recognise that some adjustments will need to be made to the way we do things. Therefore, when you arrive for the show, we ask that you please abide by the 2m social distancing guidelines. A steward will guide you to a socially-distanced island, based on your party size. All islands will be spaced two meters apart. The islands are allocated as:
Dormouse – diameter of 1.2 meters – a lovely size for one small picnic blanket or 2 chairs and a picnic. For up to 2 people, mix of adult/child*
Cheshire Cat – diameter of 1.5 meters – a perfectly suitable situation for 2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 3 children, but no more than 4 people in any case, to eat a scrummy picnic and enjoy the show
Mad Hatter – diameter of 2 meters – space for chairs, blankets, picnics, and prosecco for up to 6 people, a mix of adults and children (but not 6 big – you wouldn’t all fit and that would really be mad!)
*child is defined as under 12
Tamworth Castle Grounds 16th August – TICKETS NOT YET ON SALE
Both Heartbreak Productions and its partners have worked very hard to implement social distancing and hygiene measures, minimising the risk of Coronavirus transmission. Audience members purchase tickets and attend the shows at their own risk, and neither Heartbreak Productions nor the venues assumes any responsibility for audience members contracting Covid-19.
Making theatre accessible to all has always been at the core of Heartbreak Productions. While we will not be offering a Pay What You Can performance for “Alice in Lockdown”, we will be reserving 40 discounted tickets for most performances. These tickets are for people who otherwise would not be able to afford to come to the show AND for those working in the NHS. We at Heartbreak are so grateful to those in the NHS who continue to put themselves at risk each and every day. As we only have 40 discounted tickets for each show, we are offering them on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 4 tickets per request. We want to ensure that as many people as possible are able to come to our shows, so we ask that you please think before putting your name in for tickets whether you really can afford them, or if you might be taking the spot away from someone who really needs them. We are relying on everyone’s goodwill. Most discounted tickets are available directly from the venues. Discounted tickets for Leamington Rugby Club are available here. Within 24 hours you will receive an email stating whether you have received tickets or whether we have already exceeded the maximum number.
