Summer 2020 Update

First of all, we hope that you are safe and well, and carrying on as best you can in these difficult and uncertain times.

As you know, we are committed to bringing you outstanding open air theatre in all weather conditions. We have performed to audiences in their hundreds who were sitting in wet weather gear while we carried on wearing wellies and ponchos in torrential rain. The current situation, however, presents quite a different challenge. Given the current government guidelines on the situation with Covid-19, and the number of venues who have postponed their bookings to 2021, it is with a very heavy heart that we have had to make the following decision:

  • All dates for The Great Gatsby, Mr Stink, Wonder With Grimm and A Midsummer Nights’ Dream for 2020 have been postponed until 2021.

Customers will, of course, receive a full refund. If you booked tickets through our website, you can request a refund here. Please remember to enter the email address that you used to purchase tickets. If you use a different email we will not be able to find you in our system. If you purchased tickets from a venue you will need to contact the venue for a refund.

We are so sorry to have to disappoint everyone, but we do hope that you will understand and respect our decision. I’m sure we can all agree that everyone’s safety is the most important thing during this time.

On the brighter side, we are going to run all of our 2020 season in 2021! So if you were really looking forward to seeing Mr Stink, The Great Gatsby, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Wonder With Grimm, don’t worry, you will be able to re-book for next summer. We will continue to run Heartbreak at Home where will be hosting full length videos of our past productions, including Mr Stink, Pride and Prejudice, Murder on the Terrace, The Importance of Being Earnest, and many more. These can be accessed here.

As most of Heartbreak’s income is derived from touring, we will find it quite difficult to keep afloat until 2021. On the refund request form, we have included an option to donate a portion of your refund to the “Keep Heartbreak’s Heart Beating” fund. If you’ve purchased your tickets from a venue and would like to donate, we have set up a Go Fund Me page, which you can access here.
