Forum Theatre
Other forum based theatre work includes:
Food for Thought aimed at Year 7s (11-12 year olds) highlighting the issues connecting food, farming and the countryside. The project involved Heartbreak Productions' working with LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) and FACE (Farming and Countryside Education) on a specifically devised pilot project - Food for Thought. The pilot went onto be performed as the Eden Project Summer Festival in 2007.
The Brunswick Healthy Living Centre in partnership with Warwick District Council, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, Heartbreak Productions and with financial support from Advantage West Midlands created a piece of forum theatre entitled "JUST THE JOB" which tackled the subject of redundancy and was staged in Spring 2010. 'JUST THE JOB' has won BRONZE in the BBC Local Radio Gillard Awards (radio's equivalent of The Oscars!), for JUST THE JOB in the BEST COMMUNITY PROJECT category. Everyone is delighted with this accolade.
Excited by this nomination Heartbreak Productions are delighted to announce a new piece of work in association with Warwickshire County Council's Road Safety Team and the Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service ... Using Forum theatre and film making Heartbreak will explore the topic of road safety with groups of teenage students across Warwickshire.
FREEDOM an animation project made with Young Asylum seekers in the Warwickshire area. Alongside partners the Virtual school and Bath Place a suitable screening time is being planned - watch this space ...
