The Summer of 2008 - such as it was - has now drawn to a close and once again, we were delighted by the wealth of positive feedback received from audience and critics alike. Despite the more than difficult weather conditions, many of you got in touch to commend the actors for their excellent abilities, praise the productions and applaud such indomitable spirit. We are equally proud of the actors: they battled on through some truly dreadful downpours but managed to retain the highest standards of professionalism and a great sense of humour. We were delighted this year to have the award-winning director John Terry working with us along side our usual array of multi-talented actors, innovative designers and incomparable creative and production teams. Winter Tour - Emma by Jane AustenWork is already under way for our winter production. We are pleased to announce that we will be touring to theatres throughout the UK with a brand new adaptation of Jane Austen's Regency rom-com, Emma. Join us as this "handsome, clever, and rich" and "slightly" spoiled young woman throws herself in to the perils of misconstrued romance in this world-renowned and well-loved classic comedy. Immerse yourself in the squabbles, gossip and the more serious issue of who gets who in this uproarious and innovative adaptation. Live music, dance and audience interaction will abound as the outstanding cast create all the varied complexities of these colourful characters and bring them vividly to life.
