PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
- A performance area 20 feet by 20 feet (minimum)
- Two electrical points - 13 amp (32 amp if available)
- Access for the company to the venue at least three hours before the show
- Venues to possess an Occasional Theatre or Public Entertainment Licence
- Toilet, Car parking and refreshment facilities if possible
- Adequate personnel to market and advertise the event in the local area
(We generally anticipate pre-sales of 200 upwards before the day of the event and if the weather is good we expect that number to double on the night itself)
PUBLICITY AND MARKETING
Heartbreak realise that to create a commercially viable dramatic success, publicity and marketing are areas that demand similar commitment as the performance. To this end we offer:
- Marketing guideline package
- In-house display of photographs, leaflets and posters
- Assistance in booking tickets
- Publicity material available for Easter
We are always happy to assist with advertising and marketing where it is viable.
TICKET PRICES
We try to keep ticket prices as reasonable as possible. As we try to be fair to all venues we do not publish prices on the flier but they range from £7 - £12 for an adult ticket and £4 - £9 for concessions. We recommend £10 for an adult and £6 for Children/Students/Benefit Claimants/Over 60s and Equity members, although obviously we leave the final decision to the venue.
PERFORMANCE FEES
Please ring us for details on our fees. For some venues we are willing to negotiate a percentage split of box office - generally 25% to the venue and the remainder to Heartbreak with a small guarantee. We also do combinations of guarantees and splits. If you believe you can attract an audience of 200 or above please talk to us. We also plan special packages for schools incorporating matinee performances with follow-up workshops.
We try to finalise details and tour schedules as soon as possible but a substantial number of dates get booked many months in advance. If you would like to make Heartbreak's open-air productions part of your summer programme, please do call us at the earliest opportunity.
